~ Proven Cow Horses Since 1888 ~
<h3 center;\\"=""> SALE DATE: Saturday, September 20, 2014
Great Falls Expo Park
Buyers from forty-one states and five Canadian provinces mill around inside the Livestock Pavilion at the Great Falls Fairgrounds. These prospective owners drift through the dusty aisles between stalls.
A feeling of sharp electricity fills the air and the hub of conversation and constant nickering from the horses increases as the barn continues to fill up with people. A slight disturbance at the far end of the pavilion catches everyone\\\'s attention, and the moment many of these buyers have been waiting for has finally arrived. Horse trailer after horse trailer pulls up to the wide door and out step nervous but unflawed breeding. The weanlings have arrived for their sale day appearance, and the crowd steps in closer to pick out the horse or horses they have followed on the internet, the breeding they have coveted for their own programs, the genes of a remuda that has made a name for itself across the United States and internationally, a look at the bloodlines that have been featured in every major national quarter horse publication. These foals are only five months old, but many will go on to be performers, stallions, additions to broodmare bands and good using horses.
Over eighty percent of the people here today are repeat buyers and they are returning for more of the proven horseflesh that Weaver family has been offering for almost a decade. It is an historical and exhilarating day in the horse business, and soon the sale will begin.
John Goggins of the Western Livestock Reporter writes, "This truly is one of the premier horse sales to be held anywhere in the United States. This family knows what it takes to produce the kind of horses with athletic ability, mind, structure and longevity."
The Weaver Quarter Horse Sale takes place the third Saturday of September.
